Slowing down: Nervous system care & cold-season rituals
Seasonal Folio • Autumn / Winter 2026

A Note from the Studio
Slowing down, tending to the nervous system, and working in gratitude.
As the longer days and warmth of summer begins to fade into the crisper stillness of autumn, our bodies naturally crave grounding. The seasonal shift brings changes not only to the air we breathe and the moisture in our skin, but to the pace of our nervous system.
I find myself reflecting with immense gratitude on this community. I have been thinking about those who have trusted me for years and those who have recently come to Uncommon Yarrow for the first time this past year. Those who have moved away and I miss dearly and those I have known for over a decade who I continue to see. Essie and I have spent these quieter mornings discussing how best to support you through the natural fatigue and tension that often accompany colder days.
Seasonal Transition
Adapting Rituals for Autumn Skin
As the air turns cold, your skin may feel dehydrated, sensitive, or begin to reveal accumulated sun damage from the summer. Adapting your rituals is essential to maintain a healthy barrier and vibrant glow through the darker months.

The Apothecary Facial
Experience deep restoration with our seasonal treatment featuring a Calendula Mask for intense hydration and brightening, Rosehips for potent Vitamin C and antioxidants, and a nutrient-dense Kale Compound. We utilize whole fruit powders to ensure peak biological activity and superior results.
Rebecca's Hydration Tip
Boost your moisture retention by layering your Hydrating Serum with a botanical toner or lavender hydrosol. Here are two simple home rituals:
1. **Morning Wake:** Mist hydrosol onto clean skin, apply serum while damp, and press into the face to lock in dewiness.
2. **Evening Repair:** Mix two drops of serum with a splash of toner or hydrosol in your palm and massage gently into the skin before your night balm.
Seasonal Bodywork Focus
Neolifting & TMJD Release
Cold air naturally invites physical clenching: shoulders elevate, jaws tighten, and our circulation slows down. Neolifting combines targeted intraoral (buccal) massage with precise facial myofascial release and lymphatic drainage, relieving deep tension around the jaw and temporomandibular joint.
Autumn Vitality
Lymphatic Facial & Body Massage
A specialized treatment designed to support the body's natural detoxification process during the seasonal shift. By focusing on gentle, rhythmic manual drainage, we help move stagnant fluid, reduce inflammation, and enhance your immune response to the approaching winter. We offer both a 90 Minute Manual Lymphatic Drainage Full Body Massage and a 75 Minute Manual Lymphatic Drainage Apothecary Facial.
