Facial Cupping

Service Description

Facial cupping specifically uses specialized cups with gentle suctioning. It can be used for facial rejuvenation and/or therapeutically. It uses a negative pressure, like body cupping, to draw out sha and relieve stagnation in the tissues. It can increase circulation of blood and lymph, nourish the skin, and resolve tension. This treatment can help alleviate redness, puffiness, and blotchiness of the face. It can also help reduce mild facial and jaw tension and headaches. Facial cupping is a smooth, gentle and rhythmic treatment. It feels a little like "kissing cups". It is not meant to leave sha on the face (as does body cupping - or the red/purple sha circles). Deeper TMJ work on the masseter can leave sha on the face since it is such a vascular area of the body, but this is only by client request and with permission. The lighter work is very effective as well and does not leave sha. This treatment takes 45 minutes and can be added to a massage (email me when booking your massage to add). It can be included in either the 90 minute or 2 hour facial. It can also be booked as a stand-alone appointment. The treatment includes hydrosol cascades, a serum suited for your skin's needs, and hot compresses.
